Windows Mobile 6.5 will be Windows Phone Classic

Microsoft finally announced Windows Phone 7 to the Mobile World Congress. What will become of Windows Mobile 6.5? Microsoft says that as soon as Windows Phone 7 is out, Windows Mobile 6.5 will become Windows Phone Classic, and will coexist with Windows Phone 7. Are you confused yet?

Leave it to Microsoft to rebrand another product. Remember Windows CE? What about the Palm PC? That didn't last long. The next thing we knew it was Pocket PC. Oh wait, there was Windows Mobile, now Windows Phone.
